In 2021, a massive fire swept through the Boranup Forest, leaving devastation in its wake within the community. This pristine haven has remained an untouched beauty, a cherished home to a myriad of plants and animal species for so long. I vividly recall driving through the forest afterwards, a sight that filled me with profound sadness.

Fast forward two years, and I’ve visited the forest intermittently, amidst trips, both interstate and north. On each return, the forest surprises me in all with its remarkable growth, change, and beauty, since my last visit. This realisation holds a profound lesson; no matter the death of the Lowes one faces, there, always lies an opportunity for growth. Often, this growth blossoms into a tapestry of even greater beauty than one could ever imagine.
